Figtiin didn’t begin as a business idea.
It began as a quiet search.

A search to understand what it means to wear the hijab — not just outwardly, but inwardly too. There wasn’t a single moment that defined it.

No sudden decision.

Just a gradual leaning in… learning, unlearning, and trying to do things a little better each time.

Along the way, we realised something simple —
finding pieces that feel right isn’t always easy.

Some were beautiful, but lacked coverage.
Some were practical, but didn’t feel like something you’d reach for.

And often, it felt like you had to choose between the two. Figtiin was created in that in-between space.

Not to claim perfection,
but to offer something we ourselves were looking for —
pieces that feel intentional, comfortable, and quietly confident in faith.

Every shawl is designed with faithful intent.
Enough length for coverage,
materials that are easy to wear,
and details that don’t shout, but stay with you.

We’re still learning. Still growing.

And we don’t always get everything right. But everything we do comes from a sincere place —
